Job Title : Chemical Lab Leader Company : Multinational chemical company Location : Seoul Date : ASAP Responsibilities - Managed all R&D activities as a Center leader. (Activities include project management/milestones/deliverables, intellectual properties strategy, internal/external communication, administrative matters, etc.) - Develop technology strategy in close collaboration with Industry Marketing to drive sustainable growth in Electronics, Lighting, and Emerging Industries. - Understand technical trends, regulatory requirements and competitive offerings in relevant industries and be responsible for exploring, validating and executing new technical platform or application. - Lead technical team to identify, evaluate and develop relationships and programs with strategic partners and/or customers. - Provide leadership to build technical roadmap and associated intellectual property framework - Ensure activities are compliant with safety, regulatory and intellectual property requirements - Prioritize projects and plan resources in support of T&I needs - Manage R&D employees, including performance evaluations, recruiting, onboarding, and development Qualifications/Requirements: - 5+ leadership experience, having people/team responsibilities - 10+ experience in technology, marketing and/or project management, preferably in Electronics, Lighting, and Emerging Industries* - PhD in Engineering, Polymers/Plastics or Materials Sciences (Preferred PhD based in US) - Solid understanding and rich experience in materials science and physics of emerging application technology - Experience in customer and external interactions - Proven ability to lead and deliver results within a matrix team environment - Great communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work across geographies and cultures - Fluent in Korean and English; excellent English communication skills, written and verbal (Must) *Key words: Electronic Materials, Functional Film, Display Technology, OLED, Electronics/Lighting/Emerging Application Technology
