Job Title : Process Technologist (Epoxy) Company : Multinational Chemical company Location : Ulsan Date : ASAP Responsibilities - Defines, plans and executes significant Process Technology projects in line with business and functional strategies and priorities, for mid/long term benefit. Responsible for establishing sound courses of action when faced with adverse conditions - Projects type ranges from technology transfer to new site/plant, new process development in existing units, technology optimization existing units & major production upset investigation. - Reports project results in compliance with department standards on knowledge management. In addition consolidates knowledge into readily accessible mathematical models. - Makes use of external relationships with universities and research Institutes. Performs gate keeping via IP / literature research and identifies opportunities for the business. Qualifications - Working experience in the chemical industry: - Experience in setting up lab/pilot experiments to determine basic data and sensitivity of process - About 5-8 years working experience as technical engineer background - Master’s degree (Chemical Technology/ Chemical Engineering) Minimum - Ability to produce reactor / plant concept on basis of reaction mechanism, reaction kinetics, mass/heat transfer limitations - Capability to come to separation concepts on basis of thermodynamics and physical properties - Capability to produce process mass / heat balances - Knowledge of process simulation techniques (ASPEN,ACM), analytical problem solving (RCA/UCA, TRIZ), control / corrosion material / process engineering, safety studies HAZOP / TRIPOD / quality improvement methodology (Six Sigma) Project management skills - Communication and technical reporting skills - Fluent in Korean and English, Chinese is a plus - Occasional travel to Chinese production locations (Korean position)
